Donating Woolly Hats!

The winters can get bitterly cold in Nepal, houses have very little insulation and the majority of peoples lives are carried out outside.

We donated several sacks of wolly hats to a remote village in the Gorkha district of Nepal. From this village it is a long walk to the nearest town (approx 4 hours on a steep hill) and so the elderly rarely leave.

It was a long trek up there with lots of bags, but the villagers were so welcoming to us when we arrived. We all congregated in their community hall and danced the night away and they seemed thrilled with their new 'topis' (hats).
